1. Kyoto, Japan

Japan is one of the first names on the lips of many when it comes to Asia, and rightly so. It is known to be the perfect blend of modernity and history, and a perfect representation of Japanese culture is seen in Kyoto. Kyoto, the former capital of Japan up until imperial times, is a constant reminder of the rich history of Japan and the abundance of monuments. What to do in Kyoto during the summer?
