Records, Worship and Prayers with Prophet Taiwo Ojo: UfitFly in Jordan
It was a week of intense prayers, fellowship, bonding, worship, and sightseeing in the kingdom of Jordan as UfitFly took pilgrims on a life-changing exercise, breaking yet another record on the way. The trip, which was held from the 23rd to the 30th of June 2024, featured spectacles from all over and was a major highlight in the Kingdom of Jordan as it served as the second edition of the mega trip to Jordan with Prophet Taiwo Abel Ojo.
This trip featured contingents from Nigeria and the diaspora, with everyone already on ground by the 23rd of June, with the UfitFly team assisting the pilgrims with transfer to the Amman hotel, check-in, and settling down. With over one thousand (1,000) pilgrims on the ground, the days promised to be fully packed and required the utmost organisation, which could already be seen from the first day from the organisers, UfitFly, and their team members. These formed the basis for Day 1.
Day two saw the start of sightseeing and visiting biblical sites, which consisted of visits to Mount Nebo and Madaba. Mount Nebo is a prominent biblical site in Jordan, believed to be the place where Moses saw the Promised Land before he died. Madaba is famous for its intricate Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics, including the famous “Madaba Map,” a mosaic map of the Holy Land from the 6th century. It’s a notable historical and cultural destination known for its rich mosaic heritage. The pilgrims were indeed excited to be at such historic places.
A major fixture of this trip was the 144-hour marathon live at the Kingdom of Jordan, which is an extension of the 72-hour with God programme with Prophet Taiwo Ojo at the CAC, Covenant of Mercy. Every day during the duration of the trip, between the hours of 8 p.m. and 2 a.m., pilgrims were ministered to by the Prophet Taiwo Ojo and led in prayers, and this was done mostly in the Le Royal Hotel hall in Amman, Jordan.
Day three featured a trip to Elijah’s hill, which is believed to be the place of Elijah’s ascension in the Bible. Pilgrims offered prayers and took some pictures at this historic site. Continuing with the pilgrimage exercise, a trip to the Zarqa River, which is identified with the biblical river Jabbok, was next. This served as another eye-opener for the pilgrims, as they got to experience a moment detailed in the scriptures. To complete the day, the 144-hour marathon prayer continued.
Day four, five, and six had trips to Mekawer, the site of the beheading of John the Baptist, and a visit to the Jerash Amphitheatre, where an outdoor prayer meeting took place. Jerash is the site of the ruins of the Greco-Roman city of Gerasa and is one of the most popular sites to visit in Jordan. Moving on, as we would say at UfitFly, your pilgrimage experience isn’t complete without a trip to the Jordan River, the site of Jesus’ baptism. The pilgrims visited here and also got baptised in the water, offering prayers along the way. An outdoor prayer meeting was also held at Bethany after the baptism. To conclude trips for these days, a visit to the Dead Sea, which is one of the most popular sites in Asia, was embarked on by the pilgrims. The final day of activities featured a trip to the Amman citadel, a UNESCO world heritage centre and one of Jordan’s foremost sites. An outdoor meeting was conducted here, with the pilgrims all expressing joy at the exercise so far. The 144-hour marathon came to a close with Prophet Tawio Ojo leading pilgrims in prayers.
Also in attendance were other ministers of God, including Evangelist Bukola Akinade (Senwele Jesu), Evangelist Elijah Akintunde (Olorun Kosobe), and Adegbodu Twins, among others.
Speaking to some pilgrims after the completion of the trip, they all had positive remarks to make. Some sent theirs through text, like the excerpt below from a couple in the UK who were a part of this trip.
“This is our first time on the Pilgrimage. I travelled with my wife.We journey from the Uk.It was a wonderful experience. We had pickups at the airport before the immigration and it was a presidential treatment. We were honoured and treated like the royals arriving.Kudos to the pickup team at the airport. Hotel and Bus arrangements were fantastic… In total summary, we were blessed on this trip. We want to thank all the organisers of this pilgrimage.
